The Dragon's land tale
"Tell us a story, please."
Mireï voice was low, so tightly controlled it sounded like a ghost's whisper. Her eyes were puffed and reddened and her lips pressed in a thin white line. Next to her, Choreï wasn't looking any better, eyes lowered on hands clenched so hard the joints shone starkingly white against his tanned skin.
"Please, Aelys. Tell us a story, like you used to when we were kids…"
Hearing that muttered plea the young woman pinched her lips, fighting her own storm of emotions. She had held on all day, locking her tears behind a dam of will and anger and had hoped to finally let go once she was alone but she had made a promise t

Son of the Sea, daughter of the Leaf part 1The ebb and flow of battle had rejected her on this desolated portion of the coast. Try as she might, she couldn't get rid of this stench, this horrible, gagging smell of burned bodies and pain and fear. She hadn't any tears left, she felt numb.
She kept on walking, stumbling and falling sometimes but always picking herself up, even if it sometimes took more time.
So many had died.
Gaï sensei, gone bloodied and yet still smiling and boasting around as if it didn't matter, Lee and Tenten as they fought back to back, and even.. Him. She couldn't even say his name, think his name.
She had seen him die for them, taking what they had tho

Knocking on the HeartThe car braked to a stop in the dark alley. The driver cut the engine, anxiously glancing at the rearview mirror and desperately hoping no one had followed them. Speaking of them, he looked at his passenger, a brunette who was glaring at him with dark brown eyes.
"What on earth was that for?" she snapped at him.
"'What on earth was that' what are you talking about?" demanded the blue-eyed driver. "Didn't you see those guys shooting at you?"
"That's no reason to kidnap me, you idiot!"
"This 'idiot' just saved your life!"
"I didn't ask you to save it!"
"You want to die so badly, Natasha? Be my guest!"
"Fine! Unlock the door!"
"No

"Anna, give it back!"
The girl named Anna laughed merrily as she held the blue plastic toy out of reach. Her younger brother jumped, trying to snatch his toy back, but it eluded his grasp.
"Come on, Jiejie!" the ten-year-old boy panted, pouting.
Anna smiled and ruffled his hair, all the while holding the toy away from him. "Now, John, you know you can't play until you finish eating. Once you finish eating, I'll hand it back to you," the thirteen

The Great Deku Tree Meets Pheonix Wright"I object!"
The Great Deku Tree placidly stared back at the obviously delirious human who was pointing at him. What did the human say his name was? Ah, yes, Phoenix Wright. What an odd name.
"What you are saying cannot possibly be real!" Wright ranted, gesturing wildly.
"How so?" the Tree replied, curious to know what the human's thoughts were.
The human flailed his arms, indicating the huge forest around them. "This! You're saying that I'm now in a different realm! That goes against reason, that goes against everything I've been taught to believe in!"
The Tree raised one great bushy eyebrow, but Phoenix did not even notice, his mind going into overdrive.
"Where I come from, there are no talking trees! I don't even think that there is any logical explanation as to why I'm here now when I was heading to home the previous moment! This defies the laws of science! Why, I don't even -"
"Are you quite finished?" the Tree calmly interrupted, having gotten the gist of what Phoenix was tr
